Babul Supriyo :Two-time MP Babul Supriyo quits BJP, joins TMC…

Babul Supriyo :In perhaps the greatest surrender in West Bengal after the 2021 Assembly surveys, previous Union Minister and double cross BJP MP from Asansol Babul Supriyo on Saturday joined the Trinamool Congress. Mr. Supriyo visited the workplace of Trinamool general secretary Abhishek Banerjee here and joined the decision party.

On July 31, Mr. Supriyo declared via web-based media that he will leave as MP and avoid dynamic governmental issues. He later said he will keep on being MP.

In the wake of joining the TMC, Mr. Supriyo told writers that a “incredible freedom” has been reached out to him by the party initiative and he has chosen to take it up.

“It was with incredible thwarted expectation that I had reported that I will stop governmental issues. An incredible open door has been reached out by Didi [Mamata Banerjee] and Abhishek Banerjee and I am glad to acknowledge that,” he said. Rumor is overflowing in political buzzes about that Mr. Supriyo might be named to the Rajya Sabha by the Trinamool as trade for Arpita Ghosh who had stopped the Upper House on Wednesday.

Mr. Supriyo lost the 2021 Assembly survey from Tollygunj on the BJP ticket. He needed to leave as Union Minister of State during the Cabinet reshuffle in July. From that point forward, he hosted been communicating discontent towards the gathering authority saying he was not given sufficient obligation. “I was expecting something else following seven years as a Union Minister of State. Then, at that point contrasts began developing with the party.”

Mr. Supriyo was chosen for the Lok Sabha from Asansol in 2014 and 2019. The surrender comes a long time before the critical Bhabanipur bypoll where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is challenging. Strangely, the BJP had assigned Mr. Supriyo among the star campaigners for the seat.

“Mamata Banerjee needs no mission except for if the party thinks about me, I will be glad to battle in Bhabanipur,” Mr. Supriyo said.

The BJP prior got a blow when Mukul Roy quit the party and joined the TMC. No less than four MLAs of the party have joined the TMC in the beyond four months.

“Babul Supriyo has swindled individuals of Asansol and furthermore demonstrated that his whole point was to stay a Minister and appreciate power,” State BJP representative Shamik Bhattacharya said. A segment of party pioneers like MP Jagannath Sarkar said the BJP should give tickets just to the individuals who are focused on its philosophy and not pariahs.

The TMC authority said the BJP, which coordinated mass rebellions from the party before the Assembly surveys and sent a sanction plane to ship them to Delhi, can’t condemn these surrenders.
