Congress President Election 2022 :-In the election for Congress President in Madhya Pradesh, out of 502 state representatives, 476 exercised their franchise. Of these, 464 cast their votes at the polling booth located at the State Congress Office and 12 in other states. 26 delegates were absent. Former state Congress president Arun Yadav is also among those absent. Returning Officer Ramchandra Khutia said that the reasons for the representatives who did not come to vote would be ascertained.
Former Chief Minister and State President Kamal Nath, Chhindwara MP Nakul Nath, senior leader Suresh Pachauri cast their vote. Former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri said that whoever becomes the new president will give new energy to the Congress. Delegates showed enthusiasm for voting. Let us inform that senior party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor were the candidates for the post of president.
According to the information, Mallikarjun Kharge has made State Congress Treasurer Ashok Singh, General Secretary JP Dhanopia, Mahendra Singh Chouhan and Ajay Chordia as agents for the elections. At the same time, Shashi Tharoor’s agents were made state secretary Arjun Sharma, spokesperson Jitendra Mishra, Santosh Parihar and Bhopal district Congress working president Rajkumar Singh.
Centers were allotted according to the order allotted to the state representatives for voting. Looking at the way Kharge has got the support of senior party leaders, it is believed that most of the representatives will get support from the state.
BJP MLA from Bhopal Rameshwar Sharma has targeted Kamal Nath. He tweeted and wrote that for democracy, first did not vote for refreshments, but vote for the party first then refreshments.
