Happy Birthday Yuvraj Singh:-New Delhi: Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is celebrating his 40th birthday today. Yuvraj Singh, one of the biggest match winners of the Indian team in white ball cricket, was born on 12 December 1981 in Chandigarh. Yuvraj has said goodbye to cricket, but when he used to come on the field, the fans used to see the craze for him. If the condition of the team was bad and Yuvi was at the crease, then the fans would have expected that he would get out of the crisis. He was the troubleshooter of Team India for more than a decade.
Yuvi’s career also proves this very well. He played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20 Internationals for India. During this, he scored a total of 11,778 runs, in which 1900 Tests, 8701 ODIs and 1177 runs came from T20s. At the same time, his skills in bowling came to the fore. He took 9 wickets in Tests, 111 in ODIs and 28 wickets in T20 Internationals. He is one of the few cricketers in the country who got a chance to play in all three international formats. He has given cricket fans some such moments which are impossible to forget.
World record yuvi
Yuvraj has accomplished such a feat, which even Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli have not been able to do so far. Yuvraj is also known as ‘Sixer King’. He got this special name 14 years ago in the match against England in the ICC T20 World Cup. Yuvraj hit six sixes in an over on 19 September 2007 in the first T20 World Cup played in South Africa. This over was bowled by Stuart Broad. This was the 19th over of India’s innings. He was the second batsman after Herschelle Gibbs to hit six sixes in an over in international cricket.
Yuvraj played a stormy innings of 58 runs in 16 balls with the help of 3 fours and 7 sixes in the match against England. He had completed his fifty in just 12 balls. Yuvraj’s name still holds the record for scoring a half-century in the fewest balls in all formats of international cricket. Thanks to his innings, India had made a huge score of 218/4 runs. India beat England by 18 runs in this match. India later won the title as well.
