Icc player of the month:- Before IPL 2022, former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has received a big gift from the ICC. Its effect is sure to increase on his IPL auction.
David Warner overtook Pakistan opener Abid Ali and New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee with his brilliant performance. Mathews defeated Anam Amin of Pakistan and Nahida Akhtar of Bangladesh.
David Warner was adjudged the ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. He scored 53 in the final against New Zealand and 49 in the semi-final against Pakistan. He was also the Player of the Match in the Super 12 stage match against West Indies in which he scored an unbeaten 89 off 56 balls.
Warner scored 209 runs in four T20 matches during this period. Mathews won the award when he was nominated for the second time. She was also in the running for the prize in July when her captain, Stephanie Taylor, was the winner. Mathews scored 141 runs and took nine wickets. She was the architect of the victory in the series against Pakistan.
Sunrisers Hyderabad humiliated David Warner and dropped him from the team
IPL 2021 has not been good for David Warner. His bat did not work and he had to pay for it. Hyderabad first dropped him from the captaincy, then from the playing XI. Later, Warner was not even allowed to be a part of the dugout.
David Warner was seen waving the Sunrisers flag at the stadium in the last round of the IPL. After the end of the league, David Warner issued an emotional message on Twitter and thanked Hyderabad and its fans for their support.
