Ind W vs Aus W:-The second match of the T20 series between India and Australia (IND W vs AUS W) was played at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy. In this exciting match, Australia scored 187 runs for one wicket while playing first. India needed 5 runs off the last ball to win. Devika Vaidya tied the match by hitting a four. In the super over, India scored 20 runs in the first play. Smriti Mandhana’s contribution in this was 13 runs off 3 balls. Australia’s team could only score 16 runs and the Indian team won the match. This is Australia’s first defeat in T20 this year. With this, the 5-match series became equal to 1-1.

Chasing the target of 188 runs, Team India got off to a brisk start by Smriti Mandhana along with Shefali Verma. There was a partnership of 76 runs in 52 balls for the first wicket between the two. After the dismissal of Shefali (34), Smriti continued her stormy game. She returned to the pavilion after playing an inning of 79 runs in 49 balls. His innings included 9 fours and 4 sixes. However, the bat of captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemima Rodrigues remained calm.

When she got out, India needed 40 runs from 21 balls for the team. Richa Ghosh scored quick runs. Heather Graham made the match interesting by giving 4 runs in the 19th over. In the last over, India needed 14 runs to win. India tied the match by hitting a four off the last ball. Richa remained unbeaten after scoring 26 runs off 13 balls. India also scored 187 runs for 5 wickets.

Mooney-McGrath record partnership

Earlier, losing the toss, Australia scored 187 for one wicket with the help of half-centuries from Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath. Mooney (82 not out) and Tahlia (70 not out) added 158 runs for the second wicket. Mooney hit 13 fours in his 54-ball knock while Tahlia hit 10 fours and a six in her 51-ball innings. This partnership of Mooney and Tahlia is the biggest partnership of any wicket against India and also the biggest partnership of any wicket from Australia.

The only wicket from India went to Deepti Sharma’s account. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and invited Australia to bat first, after which the team got off to a brisk start. Alyssa Healy (25 runs in 15 balls, five fours) took an aggressive approach and hit three fours on Renuka Singh and two fours on Anjali Sarwani. Alyssa, however, was caught by Devika Vaidya at backward point off Deepti in the fourth over. After this the Indian bowlers did not get wickets at all. Mooney and McGraw set the record by playing short all around the field.
