London: Indian National Cricket Team India took a 200-run lead in the second innings of the second Test against England. India lost Rishabh Pant (22) and Ishant Sharma (16) in the second innings this morning with an overnight score of 181/6. With this, it was expected that India would end the innings with less than 200 runs.
However, Mohammad Shami and Jaspreet Bumra, who were exceptionally short at the crease, played slowly and crossed the 225-run mark. As a result, the Indian team’s lead crossed the double century. The result was an upper hand over England. Currently Shami is at the crease with 13, Bumra with 14. India scored 229 for the loss of 8 wickets.
The Lord’s Test is going on interestingly. TeamIndia lead by 206 runs. After drinks, India scored 233 for 8 in 96 overs in the second innings. Mohammad Shami (15 not out) and Jaspreet Bumra (15 not out) were at the crease. Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane was bowled out for 61 by Moin Ali. Pujara, who was the backbone of the innings, faced 206 balls and scored 45 runs.
Pant scored 22 while Ravindra Jadeja (3) failed. Ishant Sharma (16) added valuable runs as India crossed the 200 mark. Today being the last day of the game, there are different expectations on the outcome. Cricket commentators are of the opinion that the match may be drawn and that there may be times when teams squat without being able to crack short targets.
