INDW vs ENGW, 2nd T20I: Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women’s cricket team defeated England by 8 wickets in the second T20I match. In this way, they achieved a 1-1 draw in the 3-match series. The first T20 was won by England by 9 wickets. Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur and Sneh Rana were the heroes of India’s victory in the second T20 played at the County Ground in Derby.
Smriti Mandhana played an unbeaten innings of 79 runs in 53 balls with the help of 13 fours. She was also adjudged player of the match. Harmanpreet Kaur hit an unbeaten 29 off 22 balls with the help of 4 fours. Earlier, spinner Sneh Rana gave only 24 runs in 4 overs to show the way to the pavilion for three England batters.

After winning the toss, England decided to bat. He scored 142 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Indian team won the match by scoring 146 runs for 2 wickets in 16.4 overs. India spoiled England’s start while bowling and fielding brilliantly.
At one point, England’s team had lost five wickets for just 54 runs in 9.3 overs, but after this 17-year-old Freya Kemp hit a brilliant half-century and England managed to put up a good score. Freya Kemp scored an unbeaten 51 off 37 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes.
Apart from Freya Kemp, only Bryony Smith, Maia Bouchier, Sophie Ecclestone and captain Amy Jones could touch the double figure. Bryony Smith scored 16 runs in 15 balls. Amy Jones was dismissed for 17 runs in 20 balls.
Maia Bouchier scored 34 runs in 26 balls with the help of 4 fours. Sophie Ecclestone remained unbeaten on 7 off 6 balls. Renuka and Deepti Sharma also took one wicket each for India.
Indian team got off to a great start. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana along with opener Shafali Verma put on 55 runs in 6 overs for the first wicket. Shafali Verma scored 20 runs in 17 balls with the help of 4 fours.
