Jasprit Bumrah :-The Indian cricket team has suffered a major setback before the T20 World Cup 2022. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India have given this information. He could not even play in the Asia Cup 2022 due to injury. The effect of his absence here was that India could not reach the final and the bowling proved to be the biggest weakness.
In such a situation, his absence has dealt a big blow to India’s T20 World Cup campaign. An official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told PTI that Bumrah is suffering from severe back pain and may have to be out of the team for months. Bumrah played two T20Is against Australia but did not travel to Thiruvananthapuram to play the first match of the series against South Africa.
Bumrah is the second Indian player after Ravindra Jadeja to miss the World Cup. Jadeja is recovering from a knee operation. Let us tell you that before this, Indian team’s leading fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal could not even play in the first T20 International against South Africa. Captain Rohit Sharma told that Bumrah is hurt.
India and Pakistan will clash on October 23 at the MCG. This will also be the first-ever match for both the teams. In the last World Cup played by India, India had lost to Pakistan and New Zealand and could not even reach the semi-finals.
