BANGALORE (Reuters) – The Karnataka CET Result Examination for the year 2021-22 will be published today (September 20). Also, the counseling process will start from October. A total of 2,01,834 students have registered for the examination this year. 1.89 lakh students have written the Mathematics Examination and 92.90% attendance has been recorded. Similarly, 1.62 lakh students have passed the biology test with 80.48% attendance. 1.93 lakh students have written Chemistry Examination with 95.88% attendance. 1.93 lakh students have written Physics Examination with 95.91% attendance.

CET exams were held on August 28, 29 and 30. CET exams have been conducted for Engineering, Yoga, Naturopathy, BFarm, Pharma D, Veterinary and Farm Sign Courses. Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayana will hold a news conference this afternoon. The CET result will be published later. The Karnataka Testing Authority office in Malleswaram will hold a news conference today. The CET result for the year 2020-21 will be published soon after the news conference.

Counseling will be completed as per the scheduled schedule of results for the current year. The academic year will not be derailed for any reason. Higher education minister Ashwaththa Narayana had earlier said that the time has been extended for admission to graduate degree.

The second PUC test was canceled due to Kovid this year in the state. Also, all the students passed without any examination. But on August 28, 29 and 30, CET exams were conducted at 530 test centers across the state. Of the 530 centers, 86 were in Bangalore. CET examination was conducted in 444 centers in the remaining districts with Kovid guidelines.

A total of 2,01,816 candidates registered for the CET exam, including 1,93,588 for physics and 1,93,522 for chemistry. Of those, 12 students with Kovid-positives attended the test. Of the 12 infected students, 10 students had CET per capita in Bangalore and one each in Kolar and Shimoga district. Separate arrangements were made for those students.

The Minister has already stated that the rank of students will be decided based on the CET result. He also said that a decision will be taken soon on the increase in engineering fees.

Admission to graduate college until October 1st

CET Result will be published today (September 20). Graduate colleges are allowed until October 1 to enroll. There is no committee at the government level to charge fees for graduate colleges. Thus, some colleges are abusing it. The minister said that there is no committee and it should not be costly.
