On the back of brilliant batting from KL Rahul (67) and Mayank Agarwal, Punjab defeated Kolkata by five wickets. Electing to bat after losing the toss, Kolkata scored 165 runs for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, Punjab won the match with three balls to spare. On the third ball of the last over, Shahrukh Khan gave the team victory by hitting a six. There was a partnership of 70 runs for the first wicket between Rahul and Mayank. At the same time, Varun Chakraborty took the maximum two wickets for KKR.
