Aamir Khan wanted to sell this film for OTT for 150 crores. Later Netflix expressed its desire to buy the film. But, given the failure of the film at the box office, Netflix had a condition that it would buy this film for 80 to 90 crores only. When things did not work out, finally Aamir Khan sold the film to Netflix for 90 crores. It is being said that the makers were afraid that Netflix might not back down from this deal as well. So he decided to release the film in eight weeks instead of six months.
