Madhya Pradesh Gram Panchayat elections: Four people have filed nominations on Thursday, the fourth day of the nomination process for the first and second phase of Panchayat elections. Nomination papers for the third phase will be submitted from December 30. The last date for receipt of nomination papers for Phase I and II is 20 December and for Phase III is January 6.
Scrutiny of nomination papers for Phase I and II will be held on December 21 and for Phase III on January 7. Deputy District Election Officer Sapna Tripathi said that 15 nomination papers of District Panchayat members were sold. The last date for withdrawal of nominations and allotment of election symbols is December 23 for Phase I and II and January 10 for Phase III till 3 PM.
Voting will be held on 6 January for the first phase, 28 January for the second phase and 16 February 2022 from 7 am to 3 pm for the third phase. State Election Commissioner Basant Pratap Singh has informed that nomination papers will be taken on Saturdays as well on holidays under Panchayat elections.
Commission’s instructions, get videography done while submitting nomination papers
- Videography of meetings of ministers, leaders of national and state recognized political parties should also be done.
- Keeps making all kinds of allegations and counter allegations. Videography is being done to avoid this and prepare visuals.
Madhya Pradesh Gram Panchayat elections : Bhopal. MP State Election Commission has directed all the collectors to get videography of special events from submission of nomination papers to be done. This arrangement should be made compulsorily at the enrollment centers especially on the last date of submission of nomination papers. This arrangement is being done for the first time in the local elections, because during the nomination, the people’s representatives keep making all kinds of allegations and counter allegations against the election workers.
