The sole Indian Netflix original slated for October is Mismatched season 2, which picks up after Dimple and Rishi’s tumultuous breakup. Akarsh Khurana, of TVF Tripling fame, comes back to direct the coming-of-age drama that addresses identity issues, bullying, mental health, and other problems that trouble the minds of young adults.
However, relationships, whether they be romantic or platonic, are the main focus and are all inspired by Sandhya Menon’s 2017 book “When Dimple Met Rishi.” Of course, in season 1, the busy city of Jaipur replaced San Francisco as the location, but the fundamental themes remained the same.

MISMATCHED SEASON 2 ON THE OTT PLATFORM: CAST AND PLOT
Dimple Ahuja, who has severed all ties with Rishi and is still upset about the leak of the source code for her app AntiSosh, is played once again by Prajakta Kohli.
As she struggles to revive her project, she continues to be fixated on the leak of the app’s source code. She starts to pack her days full as the last few weeks of college become stressful while having to observe her “ex-lover” dating someone new.
A continuation of Namrata’s (Devyani Shorey) story, who was publicly exposed and “shamed” for showing affection to women, the second chapter of Mismatched promises to address LGBTQ+ issues.
Our “non-dates,” played by Prajakta Kohli and Rohit Saraf, are engaged in a war of retaliation in order to see who will start sobbing first.
