Narendra Modi Tamilnadu Election : As the parents of the winners of the local body elections are due to take office today, Prime Minister Modi has congratulated and tweeted in Tamil to those who contested and won on behalf of the BJP.
In this regard, he posted on his Twitter page, “I would like to congratulate our party members who were elected in the Tamil Nadu local elections. Earlier, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai had posted on his Twitter page that he had met 8 union councilors, 41 panchayat leaders and 381 ward members from 9 districts who had won the Tamil Nadu rural local body elections. Tamil Nadu BJP top brass CD Ravi was also tagged in it. He had posted this tweet using the hashtag # 381 BJP.
In this context, Prime Minister Modi responded to the tweet in Tamil this morning.
Inauguration:

In Tamil Nadu, elections for rural local bodies in 9 districts of Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Ranipettai, Tirupattur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi were held in two phases on October 6 and 9. In addition, elections were held for vacant local government posts in 28 districts. Following that, the votes were counted on the 12th and the results were announced.
Candidates for the posts of District Panchayat Ward Member, Panchayat Union Ward Member, Village Panchayat President and Village Panchayat Ward Member will be elected without contest in the presence of the respective Returning Officers or Assistant Returning Officers on October 20 (today) at 10 am. It has been decided to take the oath of office at the District Panchayat Office, Panchayat Union Office and Village Panchayat Office.
Therefore, all the selected candidates will be sworn in at the respective panchayat office at 10 am on the 20th. Only those who have taken the oath of office are eligible to contest or participate in or vote for the District Panchayat President, Vice President, Panchayat Union Committee Chairman, Vice President and Village Panchayat Vice President to be held on the 22nd.
