Ghatsthapana do this way:-
Decline means a clay pot. It should be installed in the northeast corner at auspicious time on the first day of Navratri.
Wear a clean red cloth where the ghat is to be installed.
Put seven grains in it.
Now fill a bucket with water, tie a red rope around it and place it on a clay pot.
Now place the leaves on the kalsha and wrap the coconut tied in a red rope in a red cloth.
Draw a swastika with roly or sandalwood on the fall.
Now after performing Ghat Pooja and worshiping Ganesha, establish Ghat by invoking Goddess.
There is a tradition of sowing barley in the ghats during Navratri. The more barley grows, the more the goddess will bless it. Happiness and prosperity will flow in a person’s home.
First add some soil to the clay pot and then add the barley. Then spread a layer of soil. Add barley again. Gather the soil layer again. Now sprinkle water on it. Thus, fill the pot to the top. Now place this pot and worship it.
A copper or brass urn can also be installed. Fill the kalash with Ganga water and add mango leaves, betel nut, turmeric bales, durva, money.
Tie Molly on the kalash then place the coconut tied Molly in the leaves. Place the kalash on the right side of the idol of the fort and light the lamp and worship it. If you want to cover the kalash, put rice in the lid and if the kalash is open, put mango leaves in it. Now while invoking the gods and goddesses, pray that ‘All these gods and goddesses, please sit in the kalash for 9 days.’
After the invocation, worship the kalash, assuming that all the deities are seated in the kalash. Tilak the kalash, offer akshata, offer garlands of flowers, offer fragrances, offer offerings i.e. fruits and sweets etc. After the marriage or the installation of the kalash, install the outpost of the goddess.
