A spam tweet was sent from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter account @narendramodi at 2.11 am on Sunday (December 12). The tweet said that India has officially given legal acceptance to bitcoin. The government has officially bought 500 BTC and is distributing it to all citizens of the country. Hurry up India…… The future has come today!
Same, this tweet got deleted in 2 minutes. But then came the second tweet at 2.14 pm, which was a copy of the previous tweet. But this tweet too soon got deleted.

Regarding the hacking of the official Twitter account of the Prime Minister, the PMO tweeted that the Twitter handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was tampered with, which has been immediately secured and the matter has been reported to Twitter.
