T20 World Cup | Lankan team passes qualifying exam; They beat Ireland in the Super 12

T20 World Cup:-Former champions Sri Lanka cross the qualifying stage for the ICC T20 World Cup. Sri Lanka beat Ireland by 70 runs in a qualifier yesterday to advance to the Super 12 round of the World Cup.

In the match against Ireland, he lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 171 for seven in the allotted 20 overs. Sri Lanka’s comeback came after an initial setback. Wanindu Hasaranga (71 off 47 balls) and Pathum Nissanka (61 off 47 balls) were the top scorers for the fourth wicket as they lost three wickets for eight runs. For Ireland, Josh Little took four wickets for just 23 runs.
