West Bengal Lockdown news : Seeing the rapid increase in the cases of Kovid in West Bengal, the Mamta government has imposed a ‘mini-lockdown’ in the state. On Saturday, 4,512 new cases of Kovid were reported in the state. Schools, colleges, universities, spas, beauty parlors, zoos and entertainment parks will remain completely closed in the state from January 3.

The cases of Kovid are increasing rapidly in West Bengal. On Saturday also 4,512 new cases of Kovid were reported in the state. A day earlier, 3,451 cases were reported. Seeing such a boom in the cases of Kovid, now the Mamta government has imposed a ‘mini lockdown’ in the state. From Monday i.e. January 3, schools, colleges, universities, spas, beauty parlors, zoos and entertainment parks will be completely closed (West Bengal Lockdown) in the state.

Chief Secretary said, offices will open at 50 percent capacity
State Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi has given this information. Dwivedi said, ‘All private and government offices in the state will open with 50 percent capacity. Apart from this, all administrative meetings will be held through virtual methods.

4,512 patients of Kovid found in West Bengal on Saturday
Cases of Kovid-19 have been increasing rapidly in West Bengal for the last few days and 4,512 cases of infection were reported on Saturday, which is 1,061 cases more than the previous day. Kolkata alone has reported 2,398 new cases. The state had reported 3,451 cases on Friday, of which 1,954 were from Kolkata. The infection rate in Bengal has increased from 8.46 percent on the previous day to 12.02 percent.

Omicron patients increased to 16 in the state
Two more cases of Omicron have been reported in West Bengal, taking the total number of cases in the state to 16. The health official said that one infected person came from Odisha, while another person was found infected with Omicron on the Indo-Bangladesh international border at Petrapole in North 24 Parganas district of the state. The official said, ‘Both the infected are undergoing treatment in Kolkata. With these two cases, the total number of Omicron infected people in the state has gone up to 16.
