West Indies tour of Pakistan in danger, 5 players again Corona positive

Karachi: Another disappointing news has come for the cricket fans of Pakistan. Big teams hesitate to tour Pakistan in the first place and if any team tours then a different problem arises.

The same thing happened with the West Indies team that went on Pakistan tour. One after the other, his players are coming under the grip of Corona.

The current Pakistan tour seems to be in trouble after three players of the West Indies team and two support staff were found positive in the corona virus test.

Wicketkeeper Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akil Hossain and all-rounder Justin Greaves were found infected in the latest tests conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Entire series on the verge of ending

Assistant coach Roddy Estwick and team doctor Akshay Mansingh have also been found positive. Cricket West Indies said in a statement, “All three players will not be able to play the upcoming match and all five people will remain in isolation. Medical officers will look after them. They will have to stay in isolation for ten days or till the RT-PCR test comes negative.

Now six West Indies players have become victims of corona infection while Devon Thomas has been ruled out due to a finger injury. Officials of both the boards will meet on Thursday to decide on the future of the current series.

Pakistan has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. The third match is on Thursday after which the ODI series will be played. Earlier, fast bowlers Sheldon Cottrell and all-rounders Roston Chase and Kyle Myers were also ruled out of the T20 series due to Corona infection.
