Joined BJP before the elections in 2017
Yashpal Sharma had left the Congress and joined the BJP even before the 2017 assembly elections. He has also been the former state president of Uttarakhand. For the past several days, he was running angry with the BJP.
The BJP had handed over responsibilities to prominent leaders for the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand last week. One of these was also the name of Yashpal Arya. His joining Congress is believed to be a big blow to BJP.
CM also went to persuade, but Yashpal did not agree
In September, there were reports of cabinet minister Yashpal Arya’s displeasure. After this, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami had come to meet him at his residence. During this, there was a conversation between the two leaders for about an hour. CM and Yashpal Arya had breakfast together.
It has been heard for a long time that he is not happy in BJP and is preparing to return to Congress. He joined the Congress after his last round of talks with the Congress high command in Delhi.
